Elizabeth Reaser has a career as an American television, film and stage actress. Her most well-known performances include The Twilight Saga (film), Greys Anatomy (series) as well as True Detective. The role she was offered was "Kiki," the main character in Lightning Point/Alien Surf Girls. In the years since, she's appeared in small roles like Peter Pan or Aquamarine. Roman Empire was a Netflix original series in which she was the lead character Cleopatra. She also starred on the Pirates of the Caribbean classic film Dead Men Tell No Tales. Jessica was chosen for the role of the lead character in The Outpost, Talon. The actress submitted a video of herself to the producers which contained her acting, and an additional tape of her doing MMA. She sent them a video the following day of herself sword fighting. After reading the script, Jessica realized that her role would require weapons training and she recorded her first lesson with a professional. Jonathan Glassner said that the stunt crew was surprised by how well Jessica did on her first day of training. The actress had never taken on an important role prior to the US because all of her filmography was shot in Australia. The film capitalizes on Jessica's passion for action with her mixed horses, martial arts weapons, as well as athletic ability that allows her to perform actions and fully embody the strong female character. Jessica has learned to box, learn muay Thai, and trains at an academy for mixed martial arts in Australia. Jake Stormoen came across a dog roaming around the set for filming Season 4 while on set.
